75 stakeholders from Academia, Industry and Government attended a briefing session earlier this week hosted by the Rassed research program at Qatar’s Ministry of Information and Communications Technology (ictQATAR) exploring new research into social media usage in Qatar.
Below are the slides from the session, which can also be found on ictQATAR’s SlideShare Channel.
Produced in partnership with Ipsos Qatar, this new Rassed study features conclusions from interviews conducted with 1,000 residents (500 Qataris and 500 non-Qataris) during September-October 2014. It covers eight different social media services – ranging from older more established networks like Facebook, Instagram and Twitter to newer entrants like Snapchat, WhatsApp and Path.
